We will be having family over for a cookout. I think I'm going to put the House Salad on my menu. I know my hubby will love it. The cucumber salad sounds really good, too. I make something very similar but with fat-free ranch dressing instead of the Italian.

I'll also be making my Tropical Ambrosia salad which is a family favorite. It is shared on SparkRecipes.com. Search on "Tropical Ambrosia" if you're interested. Another side will be grilled baby potatoes skewered on fresh rosemary stems.

I'm looking forward to having a lot of salad suppers. That's one of my favorite things about summer.

We are holding the festivities here at our house so as my wife put its can control my intake......my wife makes this cauliflower and broccoli and almonds,bacon and raisin salad with a mayo and vinegar dressing with sugar,but since we have found out about my diabetes she makes it with no sugar and she changed brands of mayo for it and it still taste as good as ever....Enjoy the weekend .... - 5/25/2010   9:12:28 AM
