Happy Halloween! (We're having some fun around the dailySpark office today, as you can tell from our photo!) By now you're probably up to your eyebrows in candy and chocolate. Looking for some calorie-free fun? Try this game from kidshealth.org. It's meant for children, but I had a blast feeding the pumpkin too much candy!
It's almost like you're eating by proxy!

I would never eat that much candy. My girls on the other hand would. We let them go trick or treating then came home put all the candy in a bowl and handed some out to the kids that came to our door. They enjoying dressing up and seeing all there friends more than the candy. I also try to control what they get on the days after Halloween. I also try not to eat to much of it myself because it is their candy not mine.

I can't just eat one or two so I totally stay away from candy, to my knowledge, it isn't one of the food groups, anyway :)

I had a 4.3 mile run and have been handing out candy to cute kids.

I'll indulge a little... but I limit myself to 2 pieces of candy per day.

I don't have any halloween candy here, no trick or treaters in this country and I don't have kids.

Is that really Ugly Betty on the left side, there? Sure looks like it to me. It's too bad no one else wore costumes.

The problem is that I cannot limit myself to just one or two... Once I get started, it is out of my control... [sighs]

I will print this for my record and when I want candy, I know which candy to eat, this way I know what damage I have done.

This was fantastic! I'm glad I did this... it stopped me from what could have been an all out Halloween candy binge here in the office. Fun game! My co-workers even slowed down a bit after what me "feed the pumpkin"...

That games was cute. I am going to have my 3 (almost 4) year old try it. Maybe he will learn something in the process, before going trick or treating. It will help him understand why I only allow him 1 piece of candy a night from the goodies from his friend's pinata last Saturday...

Seeing all the calorie counts like that sure does help. When I get an attack for something chocolate at least I know which will do the least damage.
